A Piru Wedding

Tucked away in a tiny canyon in a small town you barely notice when driving along Route 126 west of Valencia, you'll discover the splendid Newhall Mansion. Built by David C Cook in 1890, it's a beautiful example of Victorian elegance. I had no idea what to expect when Kim and Dave invited me accompany them on a walkthrough. It was amazing!

The wedding itself was a perfect blend of family warmth, unabashed geekiness and high-spirited fun. Movie soundtracks made up the majority of the music, there was a surprise bagpiper and, as you'll see below, even a little harmless swordplay.

It was such a delight to capture Kim and Dave's day. Even now, looking at the photos and I can only smile and say "That was a good good day." Enjoy!
